Shri Khatu Shyam Mandir, located in Khatu village, Sikar district, Rajasthan, is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites dedicated to Khatu Shyam Ji. According to Hindu tradition, Khatu Shyam Ji is associated with Barbarika, the grandson of Bhima and a great warrior from the Mahabharata. It is believed that Barbarika had promised to support the weaker side in the great war, and Lord Krishna, recognizing his extraordinary devotion and power, asked for his head as a divine offering. Pleased with his devotion, Krishna blessed him to be worshipped as Shyam in the future.
